For Sale:
After planting trees for over 50 years, our M Farmall tractor is retiring from the conservation district. Our board looked at the “M,” and they were impressed at how well it has been maintained. It would be a plus for any collector. It has original parts including fenders and headlights. The tires are in good condition and it has a 3-point hitch. We believe it was built in about 1954. We no longer have the original paperwork. This tractor starts and runs great!
Our 1994 John Deere “Gator” will also be put up for sale through the bidding process. It is a 18 HP, electric start, 6x4 utility vehicle with a rear hitch, and throttle control. It also runs fine.
The board will be accepting written, sealed bids on the “M” tractor and John Deere Gator, and reserves the right to accept or reject any offers. All bids must be received by September 8, 2009. Bids will be opened at the September board meeting. If you are interested in seeing the items prior to submitting bids, call our office to make arrangements.
In the summer of 2008 we had a number of items for sale by bids. We had one item that we did not accept bid on. It will be offered for sale at a later date. If you are interested in purchasing this item, please contact Nedra Hoberg nedra.hoberg@nd.nacdnet.net
This pump was located in the old Larimore SCD building. We had the item for bids but did not get an acceptable bid. Since that time we have gotten additional information on the pump. The building the SCD had been located in is believed to be the first gas station in Larimore. This style of pump was manufactured by the Gilbert & Barker Company between 1912 and 1914. There were two versions of the pump, one with a tall pipe stem and round glass top and the plainer version with the metal finial on top of the pump unit. The one the SCD has is the plainer version. IT has it's original red paint. It has been inside all these years and is in very good condition with little rust (a lot of dirt from years of collecting dust). We will be cleaning it up a bit before it goes up for sale.
