Thank you to everyone that submitted bids on our equipment. We had about 40 bids, and have already contacted the individuals with winning bids. We will be listing the old gas pump on eBay later this fall. There will be a $1,500 reserve.
This pump was located in the old Larimore SCD building. We had listed the item for bids, but did not get an acceptable bid. Since that time we have gotten additional information on the pump. The building the SCD had been in is believed to be the first gas station in Larimore. This style of pump was manufactured by the Gilbert & Barker Company between 1912 and 1914. There were two versions of the pump, one with a tall pipe stem and round glass top, and the plainer version with the metal finial on top of the pump unit. The one the SCD has is the plainer version. It has it's original red paint. It has been inside all these years, and is in very good condition with little rust (a lot of dirt from years of collecting dust). We will be cleaning it up a bit before it goes up for sale.
