Public Outreach Programs

  • Since the beginning of the International Crop Expo we have had a booth at this show, and use the time to visit with our farm producers.  This is a great event to see the latest ideas and new technology in the field of agriculture.  Here are a few photos of our past displays. 

Wildlife benefits from Farming conservation practices.

The wildlife theme of our booth attracted visitors of all ages and interests.

  • Achievement Award Program - Each year the District Board selects an Achievement Award winner that shows through their land use the promotion and wise management of their natural resources. Turtle River State Park was recognized in 2006.

The duo played a variety of musical interments, and selected songs relating to conservation and farm history.

  • Farmers Appreciation Night is an event put on by the Grand Forks Chamber of Commerce Ag Committee.  The District has been a sponsor for this event since it began. 
  • Soil & Water Stewardship Week is a national event for which the District purchases and distributes materials each year. 
  • Farm Program workshops are held on an as needed basis in cooperation with Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Farm Service Agency (FSA).
